The Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society [SVES] was founded in September of 2016 and opened its doors in October of the same year. On January 21, 2017 SVES was established as one of the 20+ societies across the nation under the umbrella of the American Ethical Union. Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society is a 501(c)3 and provides programs that encourage and support ethical living and ethical action. The Ethical Society is
established as a community and meeting place for gatherings and educational activities that promote scientific awareness, critical thinking and civic responsibility—via a humanistic worldview and secular values. The existence of SVES would not have been possible without the generous support of our founding members and donors.
